Yes. Our fabrics are smooth-surfaced, which reduces friction against both the scalp and hair shaft — making them gentler than cotton scrunchies or bare elastics. They are safe for colour-treated, chemically processed, and naturally coarse hair.

Most hair accessories sold in India are designed for fine, straight hair types common in East Asia or Western markets. Indian hair tends to be thicker, denser, and sometimes coarser — it needs wider elastics with stronger hold, and smoother fabrics that do not snag. Our products are made with these characteristics in mind, using wider bands and fabrics that minimise breakage and creasing.

Yes, every piece is handmade in Bengaluru by skilled artisans. Handmade means a person cuts the fabric, stitches the seams, turns the tube, inserts and joins the elastic, and inspects the finished piece — by hand, one at a time. We do not use injection-moulded or mass-produced manufacturing.

Each scrunchie goes through six steps — cutting, stitching, turning, elastic insertion, joining, and inspection — and typically takes 10 to 20 minutes of hands-on artisan time per piece depending on the fabric and style. Beaded headbands and hair jewellery pieces take longer due to individual bead placement and wire-wrapping.

Because each piece is cut and stitched by hand, there can be very slight variations in pleat depth or gather distribution between two pieces made from the same fabric — this is a mark of genuine handmade work, not a defect. The fabric, colour, and dimensions will match the listing. If you receive a product with a visible stitching or quality issue, contact us and we will replace it.

Standard delivery within India takes 4 to 7 business days. Metro cities (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata) typically receive orders in 3 to 5 business days. We dispatch most in-stock orders within 1 to 2 business days of payment confirmation.

Yes, we offer free shipping on orders above a certain order value — the current threshold is shown at checkout. For orders below that threshold, a flat shipping fee applies. Shipping charges are always shown clearly before you complete payment.

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. You can use this link to follow your package in real time. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 business days of ordering, check your spam folder or contact us at the email on our Contact page.

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent or shampoo. Do not wring, twist, or machine wash. Gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the scrunchie, and lay flat to dry in shade. Avoid direct sunlight during drying as it can fade the fabric over time. Do not use a tumble dryer.

Store scrunchies loosely in a drawer, fabric pouch, or on a scrunchie holder — avoid leaving them stretched over a thick object (like a water bottle) for extended periods, as this can over-stretch the elastic. Keep beaded headbands and hair jewellery pieces in a box or pouch to prevent beads from snagging on other items.

With proper care, our scrunchies are made to last 2 to 3 years of regular use. The elastic we use is chosen for longevity — not the cheapest option available. The main factors that shorten scrunchie life are machine washing, heat exposure, and leaving them permanently overstretched.

Yes, we accept custom orders for specific fabric colours, fabric types, sizes, or accessory styles. Custom orders are subject to minimum quantities and fabric availability. Yes. We regularly fulfil bulk orders for bridal trousseaus, bridesmaid gifts, corporate gifting, and events. Bulk orders can be customised in fabric, colour, and packaging. Turnaround time depends on quantity and complexity — we recommend reaching out at least 3 to 4 weeks before your event date to ensure timely delivery.

We accept returns and exchanges for products that arrive damaged or defective. As our products are handmade and hygiene-sensitive (hair accessories), we do not accept returns for reasons of change of mind. If your product has a quality issue, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will arrange a replacement.
